BSNL is foraying into tablet market jointly with Noida based Pantel technologies by launching three tablets. All these come with bundled SIM cards with data plans.

One is a low cost akash rival T-Pad IS701R which is priced at Rs.3250/-  and other two models are T-Pad WS704C and T-Pad WS802C for professionals.

IS701R is designed for students and as there is no SIM slot in this model, we have to use external modem through USB port. It comes with free data usage for 3 months.

AP BSNL Choose your Fancy Number Scheme

At last BSNL is becoming customer friendly and tech-savvy. After the huge success of Choose your mobile number scheme, BSNL AP circle came out with similar procedure for selecting fancy numbers of user choice through web.

BSNL made it further customer friendly by introducing online application filling, so that the CSCs can serve more people.

To select a fancy number:

1. Go to Choose Your Mobile Numbers site.
2. In fancy nos tab, select the number of your choice, click on Reserve Number button, you will receive seven digit PIN in the format: FANCYxxxxxxx. Enter it on the site.
3. Fill in the application form with your details like name, address etc..., after submitting the application, you will be getting a PDF file, take a print and submit at the CSC along with documents and fancy number price (starting from Rs.843 per number).
4. Selected number is valid for 48hr. only.

Withdrawal Of Negative Balance Usage

BSNL has withdrawn the negative balance facility where in prepaid customers were allowed to use up-to Rs.10 after exhaustion of their main account balance.

So from now onwards you cannot make any calls/SMS etc... when your account has zero balance.
