AP BSNL Unlimited Broadband Plans: Minimum 8Mbps Speed till FUP Quota w.e.f 01-Nov-2017

Good news for the BSNL wired broadband Internet users in Andhra Pradesh, & Telangana. BSNL upgraded minimum broadband speed to 8Mbps  in plans with FMC less than Rs.675 and 10Mbps for all other plans till  FUP limit w.e.f 01-Nov-2017.

Following are the unlimited postpaid broadband plans provided by BSNL Andhra Pradesh & Telangana telecom circle with Fixed Monthly Charges less than Rs.1000/-. These plans are available for home and business users as well.

*BBG ULD 545 is to be used with separate Land-line plan and remaining plans are combo plans. All plans have a fair usage policy (FUP) cap, beyond that speed will be reduced.

BSNL upgraded minimum broadband speed to 1Mbps after FUP limit in all plans w.e.f 16-Aug-2016.

And also BSNL introduced unlimited free calling from Landline phone to any network in India free on every Sunday w.e.f 15-Aug-2016 without any extra charge.

BSNL  upgraded minimum broadband speed to 2Mbps till FUP limit in all plans from 01-Oct-2015.

Free calls offered are within BSNL network only w.e.f 01-03-2013

BSNL AP&Telangana circle introduced brodband combo plan BBG Combo ULD-470 in following SSAs w.e.f 11-May-2016. This is the cheapest combo plan available for subscribers. If you are on a tight budget or use internet occasionally this plan is for you.

AP BSNL Broadband Configuration/Troubleshooting Guide

As you all are eagerly waiting  to test revised broadband speeds from 01-Feb-2014, I am giving small guide regarding how to check your Line speed.

Screenshot shows some of the parameters regarding ADSL connection in my TP-LINK modem. 

SNR Margin / Line Attenuation shows your line quality. 

SNR should be high (more than 20db) and Line attenuation should be low. (Less than 40db).

Max Rate shows your ADSL line maximum possible data rate . In the figure it shows ~20Mbps download speed and ~1Mbps upload speed.

But BSNL caps the port speed at the exchange, that is shown as Data Rate in the figure. I am in Home Combo ULD 650 plan, so my line speed is capped to 1999kbps (2Mbps) download speed. To get revised speed (4Mbps in ULD 650 plan) , BSNL has to increase this port speed to 4000kbps (Which has to be done at exchange by BSNL).

You can also check these values by logging into your modem via browser and find whether your port speed is modified according to the revised speeds corresponding to your plan.

Loyalty Reward Point Scheme For AP BSNL Landline/Broadband Customers

BSNL's Loyalty Reward Point Scheme is a innovative reward program through which loyal customers get reward points when customer uses BSNL Land line and Broadband services.

BSNL introduced this scheme after withdrawing 1% discount scheme for Landline/BB customers, who pay their bills by online/ECS.

Entitlement:

Individual BSNL customers who are availing landline and broadband service are eligible to earn reward points. The Loyalty Reward Point scheme benefit is extended to the LL and BB customers whose monthly bill amount is Rs. 400 and above or Bi-Monthly amount is above Rs.800 and above.

However ISDN PRI/Franchisee/EPBX/PCO/VPT/CSC/Service Connections for serving/retired employee of central Govt/ state Govt PSUs etc. entitled for 20% discount on FMC/usage under broadband plan, Electronic stapling enrolled accounts including their child accounts, 20% scheme enrolled customers, Annual, Bi-annual and Tri-annual Customers who are availing concession or discount are not eligible.ServiceServiceService

Reward Points:

One loyalty reward point for every Rs.50 for invoice paid within pay-by-date is granted. Reward points earned can be redeemed in terms as Free Metered Call Units (MCUs) for making free call on BSNL "On Net" calls.

Redemption Rules:

1. Customer can redeem Loyalty points after 180 days from the date of earning loyalty point first time.
2. Redemption will be in terms of Free MCUs ie one point is equivalent to one free MCU which will be adjusted for calls made by customers on BSNL network (On-net calls) only.
3. Redemption can be done in block of minimum 25 points and maximum 500 points (multiple of 25 points).
4. There should not be any Outstanding amount payable to BSNL at the time of redemption of loyalty points.
5. Loyalty scheme is effective from 1st April 2013 and reward points are being granted to eligible customers starting for the invoices generated for the usage from 1st April 2013 onwards.

How to Redeem:

1. Customer can log in to web self care portal and place their a request for redemption of loyalty points through http://selfcare.sdc.bsnl.co.in
2. Customer can approach Customer Service Center and give redemption request.
3. Customer can approach BSNL Call Center by dialing 1500 and give redemption request.

Revised Brodband Annual, Two and Three Year Payment Options

AP BSNL revised its broadband Annual, Two year and Three Year discounted payment options with effective from 01-04-13.

Annual payment option is now increased to 11xFMC from existing 10xFMC.

Two year payment option is increased to 21xFMC from existing 18xFMC.

Three year payment option is increased to 30xFMC from existing 24xFMC.

So if you want to take BB Home Combo ULD650 with two year payment option, earlier you need to pay Rs.11700 but now it is Rs.13650.

AP BSNL Revised Broadband Tariff From March-2013

Andhra Pradesh BSNL circle revised postpaid broadband tariff from 1st March, 2013. Revised tariff is costlier by Rs.25 to Rs750 compared to old tariff. Also Free calls offered with combo plans are within BSNL network only.

Existing Broadband customers who are already under Annual / Two years / Three years payment option before revision in tariff will not be charged the revised tariff till the expiry of their current Annual / Two Years / Three years subscription.

Existing monthly paying customers will be migrated to new tariff as and when they complete 6 months.

Recently AP BSNL doubled broadband speed in Hyderabad. Speed consistency is checked for one month duration using speedtest.net, images below show the same.

Visit http://udaan.bsnl.co.in, click on "Register for new landline/broadband/ ..." link to create a new request. 

Enter your details like telecom circle, district, name, mobile number, type of lead(service), address. and submit it. You will be given a Lead id, note it down, this can be used to check the status of your request. 

Within a day or two, you can expect a call from BSNL sales team. After checking the feasibility in your area, you will be intimated whether your request can be serviced. Necessary documents will be collected from your doorstep. 

You can monitor status of your request regularly on the same site by providing your Lead id. In the entire process, you need not go to customer service center at all, that is the beauty of this.

AP BSNL Doubles Broadband Speed in Hyderabad
