AP BSNL Choose your Fancy Number Scheme

At last BSNL is becoming customer friendly and tech-savvy. After the huge success of Choose your mobile number scheme, BSNL AP circle came out with similar procedure for selecting fancy numbers of user choice through web.

BSNL made it further customer friendly by introducing online application filling, so that the CSCs can serve more people.

To select a fancy number:

1. Go to Choose Your Mobile Numbers site.
2. In fancy nos tab, select the number of your choice, click on Reserve Number button, you will receive seven digit PIN in the format: FANCYxxxxxxx. Enter it on the site.
3. Fill in the application form with your details like name, address etc..., after submitting the application, you will be getting a PDF file, take a print and submit at the CSC along with documents and fancy number price (starting from Rs.843 per number).
4. Selected number is valid for 48hr. only.

Withdrawal Of Negative Balance Usage

BSNL has withdrawn the negative balance facility where in prepaid customers were allowed to use up-to Rs.10 after exhaustion of their main account balance.

So from now onwards you cannot make any calls/SMS etc... when your account has zero balance.

Choose Your Mobile Number Through SMS

To select the choice number through SMS:

Send NLIST<SPACE>AP<SPACE><1 - 5 digits> i.e. ending with choice digits 1 to 5.

• BSNL customers to 53734(toll-free)
• Customers of other operators to 9400012345
• Ex: to get numbers ending with 12345 send NLIST AP 12345 

You will get up-to 10 numbers and allowed to select one among them within 30 minutes. You can reserve the number by sending the following SMS:

CONF<SPACE><Selected GSM NUMBER> to 53734/9400012345

The selected number will be reserved for Seventy Two (72) hours, so that you can approach the Nearest CSC/Franchisee along with documents to complete the formalities.

Choose Your Mobile Numbers Scheme from AP BSNL

AP BSNL came up with innovative idea of choosing a prepaid mobile number of your choice from one lakh numbers(at the time of writing this it is 94,295 and decreasing at very fast rate) through web for free.

How to reserve number of your choice?

1. Go to Choose Your Mobile Numbers site.
2. Select your Zone and Circle
3. Choose a number, click on Reserve Numbers button and enter your existing mobile number.
4. You will get a seven digit PIN(One Time Password), enter this PIN on the site to confirm.
5. Go to your nearest BSNL CSC or Franchise, inform the mobile number and PIN and submit the documents to get new prepaid GSM SIM.
6. No extra amount is charged for selecting the number, only pay for plan.
7. Your reserved number will be valid for 96 hours only.

Update 1 (12th December): BSNL kept two lakh choice numbers in the site. As of now(8:25PM) 1,93,198 numbers are available.
